Deep blue sea and bye bye Colbert
One of my favorites and the BEST writer around (no arguing please) is MARIAH GARDNER. She’s at KPRC in Houston, the Graham NBC affil. She’s now part of Telly Award winning Garden in the Gulf: A Reef Rescue Mission. It received Gold in the 2026 International Telly Awards in the Sustainability category. In her words: “This project was truly a team effort, and I’m incredibly grateful to have worked alongside the amazing partners at Moody Gardens, NOAA, and the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. This project gave me the opportunity to dive in the Gulf and help tell the story of the incredible conservation work protecting one of the healthiest coral reef systems in the world. Seeing that work recognized with this honor makes it even more special.
Shout out to team KPRC 2 for helping bring this story to life” Well Dunne! everybody and a huge Well Dunne! to Mariah!
Tonight we say farewell to Stephen Colbert’s world-class show, killed by the two greedy idiots who now own CBS. My heart breaks realizing the network that was the epitome of excellence is now just crap. Political lies with their actions done to enrich the kind of people you would not want to come into your house for fear they would walk out with the family silver. Strength to all the CBS employees who keep the jobs they have so they can survive. Never give up your creativity – it can mend both the individual and the broader community in several ways.

Think About This: “No matter how bad things are, they will one day be better. And that out of every event - no matter how tragic - one can always find a way to survive.” ~ Zsa Zsa Gabor
